Have you ever settled in for a shameless Netflix binge watch sesh, only to discover that the PMS monster is hitting you in full force? You may find yourself thinking, “damn, I need some f*cking chocolate. Stat!” (my inner voice swears. Is this normal?) As much as you want to demolish an entire pan of gooey brownies, the thought of whipping together some homemade treats spur of the moment may not be conceivable. Plus, it’s only 2 months into this New Year’s resolution- let’s save those antics for November, shall we? Girlfriend, I have an amazing recipe to share that I pinky promise you’ll thank me for one day: the best brownie in a mug recipe- ever!
You probably already have the ingredients hidden inside the deep abyss of your cupboards, too! Brownies in a mug are a great way to get your chocolate fix quickly, while also exercising some form of healthy portion control (see what I did there? I’m a chocolate enabler.) I love that you literally don’t even have to dirty a pan, or mixing bowl. Just take your fave Mugsby mug, use a fork to combine the dry ingredients, mix in the wet, and pop it in the microwave for 1 minute. Seriously, one minute stands between you and a tasty brownie! You can’t beat 1 minute. I love topping my brownie with a light dusting of powdered sugar, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, or some whipped cream.
This best brownie in a mug recipe is also the perfect treat for a quick after-dinner dessert for the kiddos too, before you hustle their adorable booties to bed so you can watch some Netflix and only have to worry about yourself.
