I wanted to take a moment to pop over to this blog to talk about the importance of collaboration. As a wife, mom, and entrepreneur, I know that one single person physically cannot do everything that it takes to own and operate a successful business. There’s only 24 hours in a day, and, sometimes I need to actually sleep. (Now if only I could get my kids to acknowledge and understand that part, I would be a much happier, and well-rested, individual.) If you’ve seen my blog, you know that I love collaborating with people. When Denver photographer Sharee Davenport offered to photograph one of my favorite His & Hers Couples Gift Set, I was super excited to see the final result and what she came up with!
I’m part of a bunch of amazing Facebook groups, chock full of fellow artistic business owners, like myself. Many of them wind up being kind of a shit-show. Meaning the people in the group tend to view others as competition, and aren’t the nicest human beings to each other. But some groups are good, and my absolute favorite one is where I have met some amazing people to work together, for the “good” of both of us. I honestly feel that as a business owner, you need to take the high road. Making a living these days in an artistic/creative field is hard enough as it is; the last thing we need to do is bring each other down! We should empower each other, encourage each other, and be a sounding board of knowledge and advice.
I love working with photographers, because I love to see how Mugsby mugs like this His & Hers Couples Gift Set are utilized and styled across the country. Sharee was able to capture these mugs beautifully, with some classic and quintessential Colorado scenery, as well. I loved the final result, and couldn’t wait to share them with you. I hope you love them as much as I do. And don’t forget to hug a fellow creative today- even if it’s a virtual hug!
